You don’t know
where the trapdoor goes but as you’re already three stories below ground, it
can’t be anywhere good. You retrace your steps, inputting the complicated
sequence of numbers to return the lift to street level.
You wonder
briefly how the Stranger you met on the way in got out but decide that it’s
best not to dwell on that too much. You glance across the street and notice him
walking away, so he must have got out somehow. He seems to be in some sort of
hurry; do you follow him?
