To play from the start,  click here .  THIS INTERACTIVE STORY IS RATED 12 FOR ADULT THEMES IMDb has a useful system called Parent's Guide , which I used when writing my Content Advisory for the play Magic Goes Wrong  (link goes to my review) It splits the content warnings into helpful sections, which I will also use in this content warning. Of course, there are spoilers in this; but I have tried to keep them as out of context and spoiler-free as possible. There will now be a break in case you want to avoid spoilers: Sex and Nudity A scene takes place in the Red Light District. Scavenger Hunt

A pack of cards  A scavenger hunt is a type of quiz round that makes participants search for certain items. It works especially well over Zoom quizzes, as it creates a wide variety of submissions. Items you could have people search for are: Something with a number on  Something with at least five colours  Something older than the oldest member of your household/team (be careful how you word this; Something older than everyone in  your household/team can easily be misinterpreted as the combined age of the team) Something triangular A book with an animal in the title Something broken A DVD of a movie released before DVDs were invented (1995; state this to avoid arguments) A DVD of a movie based on a book A book which has been adapted into a movie A plant A fruit [note: do not include meat as an item or you may offend your vegetarian friends] Something beginning with [letter] A pack of cards If you have any more suggestions, please comment below.

Quiz Ideas

Recently I co-organized a quiz for my extended family. I came up with some new ideas for unusual rounds, and they all went down well, so I thought I'd make them freely available on my blog. The first round was Lego Movie Posters. Check out an explanation and the questions here . Check out the answers here . The second round was movie quotes. There are plenty of those available on the internet . I won't bore you by adding my own version; but I will suggest that if you do a movie quote round in a quiz that you could give one point for the movie and one for the character who said. This isn't usually done, but it went down well. The third round was a bit more unusual. I created cryptic clues for famous musicians.  Check out an explanation and the questions here . Check out the answers here . The fourth round was the same as round three, but with bands instead of individual artists. Check out the questions here . Check out the answers here . The fifth round was a scavenger hunt.

Lego Movie Poster Quiz

The bottom of this page is to boost my SEO, so don't scroll to the bottom and start from there (I have to say this because one of my blog readers has a habit of doing this. I don't know why) I had previously seen Lego versions of album covers, such as  the ones on this link . It occurred to me that you could do the same with movie posters, so I scoured the internet looking for someone who had done it before. After a while of fruitless searching, I realised it would probably be quicker just to make them myself. Below are the posters; I've put the answers in a separate post so you can play along . The centre top figure has a Harry Potter scar. That's not because it's an HP movie; it's because I don't have any other Lego heads with glasses This was created without the use of  PhotoShop, because Paint.net does all the same things Sorry about the green baseboard; I don't own a black one This one is hard, but I promise at least one person managed to figure it
