Christmas Quiz 2019

All entries must be received by 28 November, and full instructions and rules will be released on 29 November on this blog. A link will be sent to all entrants

The quiz will commence on 2 December. A clue will be released every weekday at 11AM GMT, pertaining to a Christmas movie. All contestants have to do is answer with the correct movie by Midnight (12PM) GMT. The faster you answer, the more points you will get! Some of them are more well known than others.

You can play on your own or as part of a group. This can be a group you have formed, or if you prefer, you can work anonymously as part of a group with another entrant who you will never communicate with. Please confirm which you want to be a part of in your entry submission. Please bear in mind, if it is not clear, you may be asked to clarify what your option is. Please do not be offended by this; this is usually due to a misunderstanding on my part.

In summary, what you need to include in your application:

Your name:

• This should NOT be your real name
• If you are part of a team, you should submit only one name between you
• Names are limited to four words maximum (you can use less if you want to) due to an incident last year. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.
• Please do not include swearwords as part of your name. A leaderboard will be published weekly and  I want the quiz to be as child-friendly as possible. If you submit a name containing a swearword, even if it is censored, you will be asked to change it.
• If multiple individuals/teams submit the same name, the second team will be asked to change it
• If you want to be part of a team, you need to submit your anonymous name individually.

How you want to access the quiz:

• Twitter - The clues will be published as a tweet at 11AM GMT. Answers should be sent as a DM, NOT as a reply to the original tweet, as that could cause other people to see the answer. 
• Email - The clue will be sent via email at 11AM (NOTE: As all of this is done manually by one person, there will be a slight delay. I will try to make the difference as short as possible though).

How you want to play the quiz (Include one of the codes below):

• INDIVIDUAL - If you want to play just as yourself, you should pick this option. 
• GROUP AS AN INDIVIDUAL - If you want to play as a group but only via one method of contact, you will be scored as a team but I will only accept answers from one source.
• GROUP - All participating members must send separate emails, and I will communicate with you to confirm separately which group you are a part of.
• ANONYMOUS GROUP - If you want to be part of a group but do not want to know the others in your group, use this code. Please bear in mind, if I do not receive enough of these submissions, I may have to ask you to change your submission.
• SINGLE - If you want to play the quiz, but do not want to be competitive, that is also fine. Use the above code in your email. 

Regrettably, I can only accept submissions via email. If you have one, please use an anonymous email address, although this does not have to be your Quiz Name.
