Traitors... With a twist?

WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS FROM S4E6 AND E9 OF THE TRAITORS (UK)

Recently my Dad and I have got into watching The Traitors. Incidentally, don't comment any spoilers; we're several episodes behind (or if you do, include a warning like mine above). We didn't watch any of the previous three seasons as we didn't see the appeal (In fact, for the last three years, I have thought it was a more adult-oriented version of the CBBC show Trapped. 

However, last year was the launch of the equally successful series The Celebrity Traitors, which we tuned into because it contained quite a few people we'd heard of, unlike modern series of Strictly Come Dancing. We stopped watching that a few years ago because we hadn't heard of anyone. However, I am reading Chris McCausland's biography (not sponsored; other retailers are available), which I recommend as it's very funny.

Sorry. WARNING: INCOMING SPOILERS IN THIS PARAGRAPH. Since Matty spoke to the Traitors in Episode 6 and they suggested murdering Jessie as a wildcard/distraction, her name came up repeatedly in the Turret, especially after she put so much heat on Stephen. I have lost count of the number of times I have yelled

"YOU LEAVE JESSIE ALONE!"

At the screen. Of course, as of Episode 9 they murdered her, RIP Jessie. Rachel and Stephen justified their decision, saying she was too dangerous to Stephen if alive.

Me: "OR YOU COULD RECRUIT HER INSTEAD! YOU LEAVE JESSIE ALONE!"

No I'm not biased towards any player, why do you ask? This means that Matty now thinks he will be recruited, which I hope he isn't. This is as far as I've seen, so no spoilers please (although I did accidentally discover who wins, so that's annoying. Don't spoil that below either, in case someone else doesn't know.

You may be wondering what the titular twist teased in the title of this post is. Of course, the format of The Traitors is always changing and every day adds a new twist; what could I possibly add?

With many TV shows/movies me and my dad watch, after watching them for a while, the conversation usually turns to:

How could you cast this with Muppets?

Usually this is a fan thing, such as The Muppets Hamilton, but you might have noticed that since last week, The Muppets are back with us in a big way (Dear Disney, please bring back The Muppet Show), so this is a thing that could actually happen in theory.

Obviously it wouldn't work as a full series, but it could definitely work for Comic Relief. They have a history of doing Traitors themed skits, and this could work as one of them. Disney are probably more open to doing a project like this for charity as well.

However, Red Nose day fast approaches so it might not be ready for this year. Also The Muppet Show reboot is still not confirmed yet, so it might be worth waiting untill they're big again.

In the meantime then, let's speculate:

First, who would play Claudia?

Simple. Claudia. Or just her fringe.

In a short sketch, you wouldn't have much time to get the format fully realized, so you'd have to assign Traitors beforehand. However, to keep it interesting, what if one of the contestants was secretly a human?

This could go a number of ways. 

Maybe a new character is actually a human with a puppet on their arm. 

Maybe it's blatantly obvious to the viewer that some of the contestants are human, where all the other characters are frogs, bears and pigs etc.

Maybe a Muppet pulls their skin off Mission Impossible style and turns out to be a celebrity.

Maybe some of the Muppets are actually the Moopets from the 2011 movie. (This could also be reversed)

Maybe it's the opposite, and only one contestant is actually a Muppet.

Maybe they're all Kermit, and only one is the real one.

Dear Comic Relief, these are my ideas and you're welcome to use as many as you like.

I read an article recently that pointed out that canonically, the Muppets are actually the things that they are (ie, Kermit is a frog, not some special breed that can talk, not someone who grew up in Hollywood but looks like a frog; just a frog)
